Hooray for Hollywood is a tribute show celebrating the Golden age of the movie musical. Starting with the very early sound films starring Al Jolson, quickly moving on to the Busby Berkeley musicals at Warner Brothers, featuring Ruby Keeler and Dick Powell this show is full of toe-tapping showstoppers. There is a parade of the Thirties Goddesses with memories of Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich, Mae West and Alice Faye, not forgetting their male co-stars! After movies like "Rose Marie", "Yankee Doodle Dandy" and "The Dolly Sisters", Act One concludes with "Hollywood Canteen" and the songs and stars that appeared in the movies during the war years.

Act Two opens with Betty Grable and Don Ameche taking us "Down Argentine Way" and introducing the amazing Carmen Miranda. Ann Miller, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland appear and, of course, Gene Kelly et al in a spectacular "Singin' in the Rain" sequence.

The finale is an all singing, all dancing tribute to those darlings of the black and white musical, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

Along the way, sixty timeless standards are sung from almost as many films. Songs like "You'll never know", "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", "Cheek to Cheek", "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" and many, many more.

The show is fully costumed and the changes are almost as fast paced as the narration which tells the story of this unique time in the history of motion pictures.
